This is a free software package which has functionality similar to Adobe Photoshop mixed with a bit of Illustrator. The GIMP is free, however, and while the GIMP will read Photoshop (.psd) files, Photoshop is not able to read GIMP (.xcf) files. Why did we use the GIMP to create these wallpapers? Well, the Adobe Creative Suite is very expensive. Really really expensive. It is also something of an overkill for everyday use. Trust us. We go to professional (digital) printshops every month...usually with files exported from the GIMP. |
